The ETH Chess Championship is now over. See here how it went.

====================================================

Become the ETH Chess Champion in our third edition of the ETH Chess Championship! Bigger, longer, and better, the ETH Chess Championship is our largest tournament of the year with up to 80 participants battling for the title of ETH Chess King and Queen. Mark your calendars for Saturday, the 3th of May and join us in an exciting competition with lots of snacks, friendly games and loads of brilliant moves (!!) and blunders (??). You can register for the event below!

Our last edition of the championship was a great success, with over 70 people participating in the largest chess tournament ever organised at ETH. In the end, Kirill Zaitsev and Anna Adzic managed to take home the title of ETH Chess King and Queen and were the first to place themselves in the hall of fame of our Champions. In this edition, other players can add themselves to that hall of fame and name themselves King and Queen. These King and Queen will also automatically qualify themselves for the sixth edition of the Polychamps next year.

Of course, not only will we have a King and Queen at the end of our tournament, because there are lots of other prizes to be won. 2nd and 3th place both will gain a prize as well, just as a couple more prizes for our more casual players… We additionally award the best Non-ETH player (Yes, you are also very welcome to join!). Finally, the best underdog with the highest unexpected performance, and the beater-off-odds award for the player that wins the most unlikely game will also be awarded to the participants.
