34 people joined us this time to enjoy the Christmas Tournament 2025, which made for a busy and fun evening around the boards. Newcomer Nidal had an amazing run and finished first with a perfect 7/7. Behind him it was much closer, with five players sharing second place on 5/7 points. As always, you can find the full results below.
This post is a bit shorter than usual, simply because time is not on our side right now. Just pretend we wrote an extremely exciting recap here with highlights, dramatic moments, and at least one questionable decision made under time pressure. Use your imagination and fill in the details yourself, you will see it was in fact amazing (if you think it wasn’t, it’s definitely just poor imagination on your side).
And of course, we can’t finish without saying: merry Christmas and a happy New Year! May 2026 bring you many good games, new chess memories, and maybe even a perfect score of your own.
